There is cold inside– and we shudder
just like always, there is the shudder
can you not tell? We shudder…
There is warm inside- hidden beneath,
still we are shuddering
why is the cold the strongest?

these walls around that rise and fall
undulating like waves, rise and fall
These walls of troy, strong and tall
But even that city did not crumble
but rather was taken from within
it is heart and soul, infiltrated

There is harsh, and shoulder, and hope
but one cannot trust with only hope
it has all but faded—but not
For much like light, it cannot,
is not entirely quenched.
It cannot help but fool and linger
